Missing clubs with last year's ticket numbers are: Britannia (12), Dippers (6), Hadley (6), Kingfishers (6), Palmers (25), Potters (12), Stort V(34
  2. Litter Contract
There were rumours that we had lost our existing litter picking contract. This is returned in full to the bailiffs so such a loss would undermine the financial viability of the LAC.
I was given the opportunity to meet BW's South Area Manager and Procurement Manager and part of the meeting was to let them vet our insurance policies and for us to submit a litter picking risk assessment.
We met their criteria and can continue with litter picking albeit over a revised area. To date I have yet to receive a revised contract based on the meeting's agreement.

    Secretary's report updated since AGM

        1. The web site
Is now virtually completed with the addition of 2 photo galleries which are in the process of being revised. The web site can be found on ww.lee-anglers-consortium.co.uk. We get 20/30 hits per week
        2. London Olympics Bid 2012
There is no further information available
        3. Future Meeting places.
I have been informed that the Rifles has been sold for housing redevelopment and will close in June. So this will be the last meeting we can hold here. As you know we have beeen meeting here since our inception and our accommodation has been free. There is now a need to find a way of replacing this facility bearing in mind the cost involved. George and Tommy Youngs, the owners, have been sent life memberships of the LAC.
        4. Matches

The officers/bailiffs match as held on Wed May 11th 2005.

Ponders End Bridge peg 1 to peg 23
It unfortunately started with a cold frosty morning and fishing was very hard and on certain pegs bites were impossible to find. With 1 guest, 12 fished catching just 13lbs. Top weight and shield winner was John Woods 3.07.00 at peg 3, second was Jim Fowler 1.15.00 at peg 23 and third was Terry Mansbridge 1.06.00 at peg 7. Section one was taken by Terry Mansbridge and the other section winner was Mark Harris with 015.00. It was a good friendly day. and Rifles provided excellent an breakfast and dinner. It was regretted that this will be the last time we can use the Rifles.

          OAP/Disabled match Wednesday August 3rd.
To date I have just 13 entries. Member clubs were asked to submit their entries.

Lee McMullens Championship Sunday Oct 16th 2005
I can confirm that the match date is now October 16th at Enfield using the Greyhound PH.. McMullens will continue to sponsor the match.

National Youth Championship Sat Oct 1st.
I have yet to receive any paper work confirming this match despite moving our own match away from this weekend to accommodate this match.

          Hornchurch League

Their league match was held at Ponders to Picketts in April when the temperature was warmer than it is currently. Top weight was 26lbs with reasonably weights through the top 5.

        5. Fishery
        6. BBC 4
The secretary completed some short recordings on fish life around Bow. This programme went out under the title Street Life on BBC 4 Sunday on Feb 20th. It was very short but a useful exercise.
        7. Crayfish and the future
The EA and the LVACA project in conjunction with us is still running. This has entailed the EA FAP money funding the LVACA to enable equipment to be purchased and loaned out to LVACA members. The LAC has been the major player with Dave Anderson working on the project.
        8. Zander
The EA survey has now moved to the Lower Lee. Also information is being collated from the EA Lee Surveys.
        9. Illegal fishing
Unfortunately the problem came back as soon as the weather warmed up.
A few licence dodgers have been caught but the illegal fishing continues without the EA catching anybody in the act..
        10. Fishery Action Plan Lee Catchment. It is hoped there will be an open day to publicise the production of the document. It is envisaged there will be a special day at Enfield on the Navigation in June or July. Limited FAP funds are to be put towards the upkeep of the existing refuges at Eenfield.
        11. Feildes Weir Project.
At long last this scheme is almost complete. With a total cost of £20,000. We have now received the Waterways Trust grant of £2,000. They are currently using photos of Feildes Weir (before and after) in their presentations of their Small Grants scheme. The scheme has been extremely difficult but an opening ceremony is to be organised nearer to June 16th. There is still a problem with one of the platforms that was installed over a sunken barge making landing any decent fish very difficult. Hopefully, this will shortly be resolved.
        12. Hertford Meads Platforms
Together with Dave Anderson (bailiff) I examined all of the 120 platforms that were put in some years ago and found 17 were dangerous. It was considered more cost effective to remove these rather than repair as no one is fishing in this area. BW have agreed to remove these platforms for us at no cost.
        13. Overhead Pylons
Despite constant reminders to BW there has been no progress on the promised pylon cables risk assessment to be carried out by National Grid safety officers. This issue is flagged up the FAP document.
        14. Insurance
All clubs are reminded of their responsibilities for any insurance issues that may arise. In addition the secretary will require lists of all club members names with the ticket number they are holding.
The Accountants and Secretary's report was accecpted.
          Any other business
Several questions were answered from the floor.
